Wine Marinade

This is an excellent and easy marinade for virtually any red meat like beef, lamb, or even venison... but don't be afraid to use it for mushrooms too!

  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons bottled steak sauce
  • Generous dash hot pepper sauce

Combine all ingredients in a medium-size bowl. Poke roast with long two-tined fork in several places to allow marinade to soak in. Pour marinade over meat (pot roast, beef, mushrooms, etc).
